Obituary · LIVONIA BUREAU · 1 month ago
ALEX98416 arrived on Livonia carrying two prior lives and a personal best of four minutes, and left this one at five, in good health, by his own hand.
“He beat his personal best by a minute and used the minute to end it. That's not survival, that's punctuality.”
The run itself was unremarkable by any objective standard — one encounter with the infected, two hits taken and survived, zero kills logged, a single session that never had time to become a story. What it did have was arithmetic: five minutes beats four, and for a man whose file reads 'suicide' as a running theme rather than an outlier, that arithmetic apparently counted for something. He did not bleed out. He did not starve. He was not caught reloading by someone with better gear and worse manners. He simply outlasted his own ceiling by sixty seconds and then closed the account before anything else could.
The ledger now shows three lives on this map, two of them ended the same way, and a longest survival that improved by a margin most players wouldn't bother recording. The desk notes the improvement. The desk also notes that it changed nothing about how the file ends.
