RonaldRaygun552 lasted thirty-one minutes on Sakhal this time, which is not the story — the story is that whatever ended it left no mark, no bite, no bruise, and no explanation for the paper to print.
“We checked the log twice. It says he was fine. It also says he's dead. Both entries are timestamped the same minute.”
This marks the tenth documented life for a man whose record shows nine prior deaths, zero prior kills, and a habit of losing to wildlife with a single memorable detour through the infected. His best outing remains five hours and seventeen minutes on Livonia, a run this one did not so much as gesture toward. Sakhal's file on him now closes clean: good health, no enemy, no terrain, no weather, no animal — just a survivor who was there, and then, by every measure the record keeps, was not.
